Stone History

Agate

Agate has an ancient history that spans thousands of years. Its name originates from the river Achates (now called the Dirillo River) in modern-day Turkey, where this stone was first discovered and used in antiquity.

Agate was one of the first stones used by humans for jewelry and amulets. Ancient civilizations such as the Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, and Babylonians valued agate for its beautiful bands and patterns. It was used to create ornaments, seals, and amulets, as well as for ritual purposes. In the ancient world, agate was also considered a stone of strength and protection.

Zodiac

Although agate is traditionally associated with Taurus, it also suits Gemini well.

However, it is not recommended for Aries, Sagittarius, and Scorpio to wear agate accessories.
