Stone History

Adularia

Adularia, also known as labradorite, is a beautiful mineral admired for its unique iridescent shimmer known as labradorescence.

It was first discovered in the Labrador province of Canada in the 1770s, which is where it got its original name. Later, it was officially named “labradorite” in honor of its place of origin.

Zodiac

Adularia is especially suitable for Cancer, Pisces, and Scorpio.

However, it is not recommended for Aries, Pisces, and Aquarius to wear accessories made of adularia.

Elemental

Adularia is connected with the Water element, which symbolizes emotions, intuition, the subconscious, and the flow of feelings. Its shimmering luster is often compared to ocean waves or moonlight on water.

Planet

The magic of adularia is closely associated with the Moon. Its energy is believed to align with the lunar cycle, and it is recommended to wear the stone during the waning moon phase — from full moon to new moon — for best energetic results.

Colors

Adularia (labradorite) comes in various colors and exhibits a mesmerizing play of light. Here are some of the most common colors:

  • Blue: The most popular and eye-catching shade, ranging from pale sky blue to deep indigo.

  • Green: A gentle green tone, often with shimmering flecks or patches.

  • Golden: Warm golden or orange hues with iridescent effects add a touch of elegance.

  • Purple: Some labradorites display purplish or violet hues, giving the stone a mysterious allure.

  • Multicolored: Labradorite is known for its multicolored flashes that shift depending on light and angle.

These color variations depend on the stone's origin and composition, making each labradorite unique and visually captivating.

Chakra

Adularia can interact with different chakras depending on its color and energetic properties:

  • Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): If the stone has orange, golden, or red tones, it can strengthen and balance this chakra, enhancing creativity, sensuality, and joy.

  • Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Yellow or golden labradorite may stimulate this chakra, boosting self-confidence, personal power, and inner strength.

  • Heart Chakra (Anahata): Green adularia may aid in emotional healing and foster love, compassion, and empathy.

  • Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Purple or blue labradorite is connected to this chakra, deepening intuition, inner vision, and spiritual awareness.

  • Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): White labradorite may resonate with this chakra, helping connect to higher spiritual realms and awaken higher consciousness.
